Yuletide Jazz & Wine Series
Wednesdays: November 25; December 2, 9, 16, 6:00–8:30 pm
After an evening Yuletide tour, relax and celebrate the season with live jazz and a glass of wine in the festive atmosphere of Winterthur’s Galleries Reception Atrium. Cash wine and beer bar; fruit and cheese for purchase. Members free. Included with Yuletide tour general admission ticket. For nonmembers who are not purchasing a Yuletide general admission ticket, tickets are $15 and include live jazz and entry to Galleries.
Cartoon Christmas Trio
November 25, 6:00–8:30 pm, Galleries Reception Atrium
This jazz trio plays the classic holiday jazz of Vince Guaraldi, composer of the Peanuts soundtracks. Jeff Knoettner on piano, Jimmy Coleman on drums, and Rob Swanson on double bass violin have played to sell-out crowds at the best regional venues (including Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center) for over 20 years. December 2, 6:00–8:30 pm, Galleries Reception Atrium
Known for her live performances, Gina Roché imbues a Brazilian flavor into her unique blend of jazz, blues, singer/songwriter, and original compositions. Gina has toured Wales, England, Japan, the United States, The Cayman Islands, and Aruba. She has performed on Good Morning America and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Gina is in the studio recording her next two projects.
Sharon and Shawn

E. Shawn Qaissaunee, a Berklee College of Music alumnus, is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and teacher. He specializes in improvisation, and his styles cover a broad range of music from jazz to funk. His musical voice on guitar is sought after for the stage and the studio. Shawn's trio at Winterthur will include Sharon Sable, a lovely voice and engaging performer, and Larry Marshall, an exceptionally talented drummer.
The Tony Smith Trio
December 16, 6:00–8:30 pm, Galleries Reception Atrium
The Tony Smith Trio, featuring Wilmington, Delaware's own Tony Smith on trumpet, Mark Johnson on organ, and Wayne Morgan on drums, plays an array of musical styles: blues, swing, bebop, "back to the roots" soul, and of course, music for the holiday season.
