Yuletide Jazz & Wine Series

 

Enjoy live jazz among the festive, decorated trees in the Galleries Reception Atrium after an evening Yuletide Tour. There is no better way to relax and celebrate the season than with a glass of wine, beautiful decorations, and lively jazz music from a unique variety of musicians. Evening includes entry to Galleries and Costumes of Downton Abbey. Free to Members. Included with general admission, or $15 per nonmember when not purchasing a Yuletide general admission ticket. Cartoon Christmas Trio

Help ring in the Jazz series and welcome back Jeff Knoettner on piano, Jimmy Coleman on drums, and Rob Swanson on double bass violin. This trio presents the classic holiday jazz from cartoons, especially the music of Vince Guaraldi, composer of the "Peanuts" soundtracks.

Gina Roché

Known for her captivating live performances, Gina imbues a Brazilian flavor into her unique blend of jazz, blues, and original compositions. Gina has toured Wales, London, Japan, the U.S., the Grand Cayman Islands, and Aruba, singing in different languages with musicians from Brazil, Africa, Japan, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. She has performed on Good Morning America and Late Night with Conan O’Brien and alongside renowned artists such as McCoy Tyner and Gerald Veasley. She will be joined by Jim Ridl on piano and Jim Hamilton on percussion.

Featuring Wilmington Delaware's own Tony Smith on trumpet, Mark Johnson on organ, and Wayne Morgan on drums. Join us for an array of musical styles of blues, swing, bebop, " back to the roots " soul and of course, music for the Holiday Season.
