During this fascinating behind-the-scenes workshop at one of the nation's most prominent art museums, Winterthur conservators and scientists will lead science and art teachers in case-based explorations of the scientific principals behind art conservation. Participants will tour rooms in the house, examine objects up close in the conservation labs, and learn practical ways to apply what they learn to their classroom teaching. This is a wonderful opportunity to speak directly with art conservators and museum scientists, to discover the many ways science can be applied to every day life, and to learn more about careers that combine a love of science and the arts.
