Past highlights:

Historic Fort Worth Charity Designer Showhouse

The first showhouse collaboration authorized by Winterthur opened in Fort Worth, Texas in November, 2008 to benefit the preservation organization, Historic Fort Worth, Inc. The house, inspired by rooms, paneling, and documents in the Winterthur collection, was designed by Pennsylvania architect John Milner. The lead builder, Fort Worth-based Brent Hull of Hull Historical, is a Winterthur licensee and an expert on historic moldings and millwork. The designers who participated in the showhouse took inspiration from many of the rooms at Winterthur.

Winterthur House of Style at the Philadelphia Marketplace Design Center

On October 13, 2009, Winterthur held a House of Style event at the Marketplace Design Center. The day began with lectures from designer Thomas Jayne and Winterthur’s Director of Museum Affairs, J. Thomas Savage.  Showrooms carrying Winterthur Licensed Products featured special displays and hosted presentations by Winterthur curators and conservators. The special event was open to designers and decorators as well as Winterthur members.

Traditional Building Show, Baltimore

Winterthur Licensed Products exhibited at the Traditional Building Show in Baltimore in October 2009. The Winterthur booth featured work by Winterthur licensees: millwork from Hull Historical, metalwork from Heritage Metalworks, ornamental plaster and garden sculpture from A. Thayer Smith, and window treatments from Historic Window Treatments.
