Call for Papers
The editors of Winterthur Portfolio seek manuscripts that bring strong comparative approaches to the study of American material life. We seek manuscripts that emphasize analysis over description, and that integrate artifacts into broader scholarly dialog about the history of making and consuming artifacts; the construction of identities (racial, ethnic, gender, and class) and environments through material culture; and the full panoply of aesthetic and design practices and experiences.
Interested authors should contact the Managing Editor for manuscript guidelines. We prefer email correspondence.
