History through Fiction Book Club
First Tuesday of every month, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Join us for informal discussion of new and classic works of fiction that broaden our understanding of objects in the museum collection or life at Winterthur during the first half of the twentieth century. $20 per member / $30 per nonmember for the entire three-month series. Second Friday of every month, 1:00–3:00 pm
Reconnect with your creative side while finding your inspiration in the Winterthur collection. Each meeting features a show-and-tell about different objects in the museum or library and ample time to complete a small project to take home. Members only. $10 per person. Registration required by one week prior to each meeting.

Philadelphia-based artist and WPAMC alumnae Tiernan Alexander will introduce us to the fascinating art of sgraffito as you decorate ceramic tiles. Members only. Registration required. $10 per person per session. Attendance limited

Back by popular demand! A variety of natural materials were used for dying fabric in early America. The Winterthur collection will provide inspiration when you dye your own silk scarf. Members only. Registration required. $10 per person per session. Attendance limited.

Learn about the art of gilding, then gild a small picture frame. Members only. Registration required. $10 per person per session. Attendance limited.
Brushes with History: March Bank

Start your spring off right with a morning of mimosas and painting. After a short tour of the garden, an instructor will walk you step by step through creating a painting inspired by the March Bank. Includes two drinks, pastries, and all art supplies. $45 for non-members, $40 members.
