Needlework Jacket Winterthur Museum and Country Estate is proud to host the 1620's Stuart-style embroidered waistcoat reproduced by Plimoth Plantation in an upcoming exhibit here in Wilmington, Delaware. The jacket will go on exhibit in the Museum's Textile & Needlework Gallery in the winter of 2009-10. In the fall of 2011 a special exhibit and conference are planned, which will feature 17th-century needlework and the methods and materials used to create the jacket. Winterthur is seeking to raise $35,000 in support of the exhibit, conference and educational programs focusing on the jacket and 17th-century needlework. You can support both the exhibit and conference by making a gift in support of the jacket using your charge card. To do so, click here to go to the "give now" page.
