Take an Introductory Tour
Enjoy an array of beautiful rooms used by the du Ponts for entertaining. Don't miss the hand-painted 18th-century wallpaper in the Chinese Parlor and the stunning two-story Montmorenci staircase. During spring, the tour includes additional floral displays in the style of H. F. du Pont and visits guest bedrooms on the 6th floor in addition to the gorgeous 5th floor rooms.

Winterthur Then & Now
Details...
Winterthur was—and is—a country place, a beautiful house, a rare and unusual garden, and a center of learning and scholarship. This tour focuses on the life of the du Pont family in the first half of the 20th century, the development of the collection of American decorative arts, and the evolution of a private estate into a public resource.
Living with Antiques II
Details...
This two-hour tour explores one half of the house. Stroll through a cobblestone courtyard. Browse among the rare porcelains in the China Shop. The End Shop's brimming shelves evoke a general store in the 1800s. Visit rooms where H.F. du Pont's friends enjoyed his renowned hospitality, amid stylish furnishings from three centuries.
Conservation

Go into any major museum in America and odds are good that the conservators who care for the collections trained at Winterthur. On the first Wednesday of every month, from 1-3 PM, tour the world-famous conservation laboratories where works of art and antiquity are examined, studied, and cared for by expert conservators.
