Hosting a Private Event

Winterthur offers unique event facilities to corporations, nonprofit groups and individuals. Our catering partner, Restaurant Associates, has earned a reputation for uncompromising quality. Whether you are hosting a quiet reception for close friends or family, a dramatic gala for hundreds of guests, or a special celebration somewhere in between, our creative catering experts will be delighted to work with you to custom design a truly memorable experience. We listen carefully to your guidelines and ideas and put our experience and imagination to work to choreograph a perfect performance that exceeds your expectations. Distinctive menus, fine wine, elegant table settings, and our attentive, professional staff all contribute to fulfilling your vision. We dedicate ourselves to ensuring the success of your event.

In the Visitor Center, the dining area and the Copeland Lecture Hall are available for events such as meetings, cocktail or wedding receptions, and dinners. Corporate or individual membership is not required in order to book these facilities.

As a benefit of membership, corporations who belong to the Winterthur Business Associates are entitled to rent any of the other facilities available for events and may host evening tours. Nonprofit organizations may rent these facilities if sponsored by a member, however no discounts apply. Individuals who are members at the Associate level may rent the Galleries Reception Area for cocktails or the Reflecting Pool for cocktails and/or evening wedding ceremonies if holding their reception at Winterthur.
